They all passed
forty some time ago, but this doesn't stop them enjoying "gay life",
each in his own way. In very personal images. This film portrays the life
of four mature men at home and in the gay scene: a window cleaner, a public
servant, a waiter and a tram driver.
They all are different, and so are the stories they
have had to tell and the places we accompany them too. What they have in common
is the experience of social discrimination in their early years. Homosexuality
was an offence in Germany until 1969. But that didn't diminish their courage
to develop a gay consciousness.
